Mining heritage from Region of the Krušné Mountains

Discover what the galleries in the Krušné Mountains are hiding.

The tradition of mining in the area of the Krušné Mountains goes back more than 800 years. Since the 12th century, a wide spectrum of minerals has been mined (from silver, tin, lead or iron, and cobalt, bismuth, nickel or tungsten to black coal and uranium). Mining activities have affected the development of the whole region and its material as well as immaterial remains are visible to this day. In addition, mining in its industrial form is still a part of the everyday life for the Podkrušnohoří region.
